June is flying by. It's hard to think in just 2 weeks we'll be celebrating July 4th.... I hope Summer stays well into Fall because, I am loving it. Some recent happenings: A trip up North to the cabin. We had not the best weather... and it is pretty hard to entertain little ones inside, but we had one super great afternoon with lots of sunshine, so we all decided that made it worth it!  all i can say: good thing I brought my selfie-stick to the cabin...  this little guy was a bundle of laughs. Especially when knocking down block towers, he thought that was the funniest thing ever.  ask me if I was happy about wearing sweatshirts and jeans in June: NO, no I wasn't  Looking for fish off the dock.  FINALLY the sun came out right in time for naps! So we sat out on the dock and took turns running inside to listen for crying kids :)  boat girl.  life jackets on kids look so uncomfortable...  We made a donut stop ...

Olle is 11 months! I seriously feel like it was yesterday that I wrote his 10 month post. This has been a good month. Full of learning and new things for this little guy. He's got some tricks he can do now:  -clap  -raise his hands when you say: soooo big And he's still just a bundle of smiles.  I think he's up to 21 solid pounds and he's in anywhere from 9-18 month clothes. He loves all food, there's really nothing he won't eat, but his favorite this month is an avocado spinach smoothie with strawberry and bananas. Sucks that thing right down.  He still takes two naps and sleeps until about 5-5:30am.  I can't believe we'll be planning a first birthday next month. Makes me so sad!  Such a blondie little Maci giving Olle a bottle <3 He always wants to be standing.... and he loves this little bike. "Oh Olle-man", I think we say that phrase 1,000 times a day. We love you, and can't imagine our lives without ...

These days I never know if nap time will be quiet. Lucy naps about 6 out of 7 days... but sometimes she talks to herself in her bedroom for an hour and a half. Right now it is silent. I even closed the windows because the house is the perfect temperature and I don't want anything to change right now :) We had a really full weekend. Filled with happy memories and our first time up at the cabin this summer. Even though the sun never came out and it rained the entire day Friday, we still felt extremely happy and grateful for the time we spent in that little piece of paradise.  Lucy LOVED playing with the Dala horses.  Great Grandma! She's amazing! always reading books to Lucy and keeping Olle happy.  We went to the Grove for Memorial Day and this little monkey STILL doesn't like the grass. He's always raising his feet to try not to touch it... so funny  this is my FAVORITE picture of the weekend. Sten and my dad helping Amos try to catch his first fis...

We're all excited for summer over here in the Carlson house. More time to play outside, go for bike rides, pack picnics, go to the cabin, wear dresses, and feel warm. I love being a mom in the summer. Days seem full of fun things, and I don't ever feel like I need to entertain the kids. Lucy tends to make up her own games when we play outside or go to the park, and naps and bedtime is easier after hours of fresh air and play. This morning while Sten and I were drinking our coffee with the windows open the birds were chirping SO loudly, we both commented about it. It was such a coincidence then, that in our Jesus Calling devo we read it talked about looking for God's treasures throughout your day, and one of the treasures it listed was chirping birds. I've been trying to go about my day today thinking of all the treasures in my path, seems so easy to overlook them. We had a really fun weekend full of things we love. Happy hour on the deck, dinner and games with friend...

Lucy! This girl deserves a post of her own. She is full of sass and spunk. I was reading "For the Love" by Jen Hatmaker, and in it she talks about how her family is spicy, rather than sweet. I would say for the most part our family is sweet, BESIDES Lucy, shes spicy and I love that about her. She's got an opinion about everything... from the bow she "wears" in her hair, to the shoes she wears on her feet. She's fairly potty trained with at least one accident a day, even though she totally knows better. She's been waking up between 5-6a, and goes back down for a nap between 12-1. She is THE WORST when she wakes up. Super crabby and whiney... it takes her a good 1/2 hour before she is back to her normal happy, playing self. She LOVES pretend. Yesterday she was coloring for about 1 minute before the crayons became a mom and dad and baby and started talking to each other. Phrases lately are: 'This is the best day ever!' 'SO, tell us about ...
