Phone pics.

I’ve been slacking on the bloggy blog lately. “Life is life-ing” in the words of my wise friend Mary. There are glimmers of goodness everywhere and I sometimes remember to catch them on my camera.  Sigge and I went to weitkamp and I was totally that mom trying to get a pic of my baby doing all the things. He can do everything. And he’s so flexible and strong and I can’t even handle it.  Haley and I got out for an after church long run a couple weeks ago. It was FREEEEEEEZING cold, but the sun was shining. We climbed almost 1,000ft in elevation and chatted the whole time. It is a blessing to have such a great running club.    Took the kids for a post dinner hike at Willow and was so happy to watch them play and make up games and hang out. I want them to be friends more than anything else in the world.  Morning run sunrises. I try so hard to capture them. But they never look good. I turn around sometimes and am in complete awe of Gods workmanship. It’s also been s...

Why do good things have to end?

I am being a total baby but I do not want Spring Break to be over. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this past week and can honestly say it was more than good for my soul. I did all the things that I set out to do and then some.  nice weather made this week even better. Cleaned out ALL bathrooms cupboards and drawers.... check! painted a picture with Sigge of bright fish. I like the way it turned out so I framed it. Soon my whole house will be my own artwork.... what does that say about me? UNO at Caribou The BEST homemade granola. I also baked bread, made gluten free cookies, Haley's special granola bars, lots of batches of overnight oats, biscotti, hummus, yummy meals... We got to see Great Grandma Kay. I love that she still pulls Sigge on to her lap. I sat out on our deck most afternoons while the sun was hot. One day with Kim and Haley over while our kids jumped and played. One day by myself-- I shook myself a happy hour margarita and it FELT LIKE MEXICO! Then we...

SB 2025.

I made it!!!!! Officially on spring break and it feels so good. I’m the actual happiest right now. Haha Olle won his bball game this morning and it was so stressful. I never once felt stressed at one of his flag football games. But basketball is just so intense. I need all the tips and tricks from other parents on how to stay cool, calm and collected. 😂  Celebrated Sigge’s 6th and my 39th birthday with family and it was a dream. Goood food, good people = good times.  Sigge requested corn dogs and I requested Thai chicken bowls. Win-win.   My goals this week: Rest Eat good food Go on a couple dates with sten See friends Spend one on one time with each kid Crack open a book Paint a picture Clean out my bathroom drawers and cabinets.  xo. edc.

How is it Monday already?

I think I just missed a bunch of days. It’s March?? How in the world are we 1/6 of the way through 2025 already????? We saw lots of family this weekend, watched Olle dominate the basketball court, ran a bunch of miles, drank a bunch of coffee, and even got in a sauna date with Sten.   18 miles with the badlands bobcat babes and my heart was full.  Olle’s cheering section. What a lucky guy We love watching our dude.  Some things making me happy right now: - being able to crank up the heat in my classroom if I’m cold - a fridge full of leftovers - the book Lucy and I are reading at night  - kitchen hugs and kisses from Sten - the anticipation of a possible (very unlikely) snow day Wednesday  - thinking about allllll my running people chasing after PR’s and getting excited for them.  - group text threads that come through with a good word right when you need it.  -Sigge. God KNEW I needed his joyful presence in my life.  - new birthday socks xo. edc....
