Lately= camp.staycation.summer beauty

Last week Lucy and Olle spent a week at Covenant Pines - where they experienced summer camp in the most magical way. So grateful for camping ministry and the incredible work of the people who pour into kids and teens all summer long.  We planned on 2 nights at Bay Lake after dropping the kids off at camp, but the cabin was in rough shape and so we took advantage of a stay-cation instead. We pickleballed, biked, went out for dinner finished a show we had started and enjoyed all the kid-free time to the max! Sigge was sleeping over at a friend’s house and he also was having the time of his life - so truly it was a win-win for all.  We biked 20 miles and then got food from the co-op and brews from River Siren and enjoyed a break off the bike seats (my poor butt!) first bike ride of the year and I COULD FEEL IT. Pure Michigan 2025

We got back from Michigan on Sunday and it was a dream. We all had the best time, and as I get older I am more and more convinced that experiences like this will shape my kids into the people they will grow up to be.  Elin and Lucy. A special cousin bond that I hope continues to get stronger and stronger. Our point night did not provide a spectacular sunset like it has in years past, but it was still beautiful and there is nothing like building a bonfire on the beach and hanging out with your people. Lake Michigan coastline never gets old. Date night These 2 really poured into Olle. I love that it was so evident how much they loved Jesus and cared about these little campers.
