 Today is my 40th birthday. I feel like God has blessed me in so many ways and I’ve had many experiences that people could never even hope for in a lifetime. I am so fortunate to wake up everyday next to someone who loves me so much there is not a shred of doubt in my mind. Kids who make my heart skip a beat when I see them after school. Friends who love me, pray for me, cheer for me and support me. And family who I love to just BE with. I’ve compiled a list of things I’ve learned. More for me than anyone else, and for my kids. I hope they get some nuggets of wisdom- take it or leave it - from me along the way.  Things I’ve learned: Life: While I can't control what happens, I can control if it makes me have a crappy day or not. Choosing to be positive when life is negative is hard, but always worth it.  The sun always rises again, even the hardest seasons eventually don't feel as hard. Our baby is 7! When did he lose his baby rolls and bright white hair? I found a bunch of pictures that I think point to why we fell in love with this guy in the first place. Wish I could put a video on this blog because his deep raspy voice was also a highlight of his younger years.  He carried around this “car” box for a stage. He would hop in, stand up and be off to who knows where. I remember it so well, and I also remember when the box ripped….  Sigges always been along for the ride. We were deep into Midcurrent when he was born, and then Covid happened! He’s been around for the ups and downs— he’s watched his siblings do all the things and has been such a trooper along the way. I love that he just got to witness so much by being a 3rd born. So much less intentional time since we had 2 bigger kids to tend to, but so much more life just being caught. I think that is what makes Sigge who he is. Adaptable, grateful, funny and easy going.  His HAIR. It matched every singl...

Grammy came last weekend and that was a big highlight for us. She loves us all really big and we all feel it when she’s around. Some joyful moments: Sigge got a pottery wheel for his birthday from her and he loves it. A true artist through and through.  My favorite girl was a card in Alice in Wonderland musical. She shined bright. She worked hard. She always makes me smile when she’s on stage.  It was so fun that Grammy got to see Lucy’s play! She also witnessed an epic basketball come back from Olle and Youth takeover on Sunday.  There’s certain people in your life that you feel extra loved by and Meredith is one of them.
