Didn’t quite make it in time for cards this year. So, consider this your e-card and maybe I will get baby announcements out in February (or next December) 😉.
We had a great year, full of the ups and downs of church planting, parenting and life.
Our tops in 2018:
Winter traditions! We started our Saturday mornings at Panera for games of I-spy, uno and some sweet family time
SUMMER TIME! This is really where we lived our best part of the year! With a full summer in Hudson we lived it up on the front porch, swam in our baby pool and spent tons of time making artwork with chalk on the driveway. We love our house!
Camping in Michigan! We drove up through the U.P. and stopped near Mackinac Island and camped for 2 nights. It was a highlight of the summer for all of us.
Our return to Portage Lake for family camp! Best week ever! We spent our days doing everything camp-- swimming, crafting, chapel-ing, running, tons of family time, tons of cousin time, and just an overall sense of wonder for the kids of how magical that place is. We also celebrated Olle's 3rd birthday down by the lake, where he got his first pair of Nikes and now thinks he is the greatest sports star in the world.
This picture was taken at our last weekend at Big C. 😢 This is where we spent our summer days in between camp and Bay Lake and home--at my parents cabin. It is the dreamiest place and days spent here include jumping off the boat and LOTS of fishing. It was hard to say goodbye for the winter!
Our Lucy Jane started school and then 10 days later turned 5! She LOVES everything about 4K and is the sweetest, most creative girl in the world. She wants to be an artist, a fashion designer, a mom and a swimmer when she grows up.
Probably our biggest news of 2018 was in June when we found out Carlson babe #3 would be joining us in February 2019. We are EXCITED! I will echo Olle's words of: "it’s taking a long time!" I feel like this pregnancy is never going to end! We just really can’t wait to meet this little guy!
Our favorite December memory was driving out to Chippewa Falls to chop down our Christmas tree at uncle Joel’s and Aunt Beth’s! We found the PERFECT tree and it has been bringing light into our home on these cold dark mornings all month.
We are thankful for another whole year of Midcurrent church, healthy bodies, friends and family near and far and Christ! Who came so that we could have life to the FULL!
Merry Christmas to you from us! We love you!
xo. The Carlson Fam!
