Olle turned 3 July 10th while we were at camp. What a lucky guy, spending his birthday down by the lake around a bunch of family. He asked for chocolate cake and before free time started he ripped open his very own brand new Nike’s and a basketball outfit. He immediately changed and ran around jumping and sprinting, so excited. I recently heard something about how we should receive God’s love in the same way kids receive birthday presents. They never feel like they have to earn it. Watching kids open gifts is my favorite- they get so excited, and they love everything!
Olle has high highs and low lows. When he’s at his best he is an absolute joy to be around. Non stop laughter and hugs for everyone. He cackles just to get a laugh out of others and can sing and dance with the best of them. He loves any sport and all music and has a keen fascination for mowing (basically he follows after Sten in his interests). His dream day would include being outside all day, going to the guitar store with dad, being pushed in the swing, swimming, and eating lots of fruit and cookies.
His biggest accomplishment came last week while we were in Kansas. Olle jumped in the pool without his floaties, and swam up to me. He LONGS to be a big guy, and wants to do everything his sister and big cousins do. Don’t ever call him a little guy unless you want to hear him whine and cry saying "that’s not nice!".
He loves our family, especially me š. And when he’s feeling especially lovey he does this thing where after you say I love you, he says: "no no no no no no no, I love you!" Emphasis on the l. It makes my heart melt, and I just want to keep him this age forever.
Happy 3rd Birthday Olle man. We couldn’t love you more.
