Ever need a little pick me up and look at pictures on your phone?? Here are some that made my heart leap.    Me and Mar took her E bikes to yoga yesterday and it was exactly what I needed! Those things are a BLAST!! I was full speed and having the time of my life.  Two bros hanging out at the park last week 3 dudes in Jordan gear. These 3 make me happy.  Cousin sleepover called for Swedish Pancakes 😋  Fierce hugs by Jules and Sigge. 😍 Everyone should hug their bestie like this.  Erins pool. It’s dreamy.  Rainbows after storms. I did take this while driving 🤫  Summer is wrapping up in 3 weeks and I’m kind of ready for routine and structure and consistency. 😬 xo. edc 

The kids and I spent Thursday night camping with cousins and it was fun and mosquito-y! I came home with more bites than I've had all summer, but it was still worth it! Jessica has the BEST camping set up. We got to all pile into the pop up camper and sleep with AIR CONDITIONING!!! The whole crew! we all smelled and were SO dirty at this point! brothers helping brothers found this awesome place to cross the river and the kids thought it was so fun! pancakes on Friday morning! lots of yahtzee! What have I been doing all summer??? Getting ready to open the doors of our NEW Midcurrent Space. And can I just say, I can't believe that most of the hard work is behind us. However, I didn't want to miss an opportunity to document this rare and crazy time of my life.  I worked SO many hours on this mural. It brought so much joy to my life and although trying to find places for my kids to hang out while painting was extremely difficult, the times when I was in there all alone painting away will always bring back wonderful memories of what was about to happen in our new church home. It makes me tear up just thinking about it.   The 2 weeks of preparation for our new building were full of ups and downs. Ups: - watching so many people come together to put ikea furniture together, clean, line chairs, unpack boxes, clean more, set up nooks, hang pictures, unpack markers, fill bins, set up desks, troubleshoot technology, figure out coffee pots, build stages and sound booths, s...

Lots of early miles this summer in an attempt to beat the heat, and also because we've been booked up on Saturdays and I've had to get going in the dark to make sure I'm home for the next thing. I love it. I love the quiet darkness, I love the cooler temps, and I love being done with a long run by 7am. I have been trying out some new routes and that has been fun too. No running buddies around here for my long runs, so I am very, very solo. I listen to my bible app the first 10ish miles or pray, and then usually switch to music. Today I finished day 70 out of 90 in my: "read the bible in 90 days"! I am officially in the New Testament! Felt like such an accomplishment.    Grateful for legs that run. xo. edc.

There have been a LOT of Midcurrent events lately. I have been horrible at documenting on here, but it has consumed a lot of our time, energy and attention over the last 2+ months.  Some big news is that we traveled to Kansas City, MO for the Covenant Annual Meeting, where we became an official member church. We stayed in a hotel, Sten went to meetings, we swam in the pool, we ate out a lot and walked across the stage after getting voted in! Woohooooo!! mornings in the lobby playing games! They are the best! bonus was grampy and grandma being there too and getting in some fun family time with them! our church-planting friends, The Andersons, were there and it was fun to hang out with them and celebrate together.
