Thankful November. Day 7.

Today I am thankful for this sweet daughter of mine. I love how she owns whatever role we throw at her. She is absolutely the most loving, doting, adoring big sister. She genuinely loves her brothers more than I ever could imagine and she would do anything for them.  Lucy is creative, silly, unique, smart, passionate and loving.  We had the chance to go away on a sister/cousin overnight and I had the BEST time watching her be a super big kid. I’ve been waiting for this moment forever and the fact that it actually happened and was super fun made me the happiest person.  Thankful for Lucy and all the adventures still to come. xo. edc.

Thankful November day 6

Thankful today for blue skies and 65 degrees on November 6th!  Started the day celebrating birthday girls Erin and Jenny and finished the day sitting in our front yard with my fam. Look at these beautiful birthday girls!  RH was beyond fab.    Olle is happiest when the family is outside playing together  I am too  And Sigges bed head is really something.  xo. edc.

Thankful November. Day 5.

Sigge was home today with a fever 😢 I hate seeing my kids sick and sad. What made me happy was when Hannah dropped off a flat white from Caribou and Jules made a little note for Sigge. I’m thankful for friends that think about me and drop off coffee to brighten my day.  Hoping Sigge is better by tomorrow so I don’t have to have my heart broken every time he says: “I don’t feel good mom”  xo. edc.

Thankful November. Day 4

I’m thankful this morning for getting up early and running w my running pal Kate. 5 miles in the brisk dark morning followed by a hot coffee at the bou.  Every Thursday I make bread. It’s become a tradition in our house to have deli sandwiches each Thursday. Sten and I have been gluten free this week so I attempted to make gluten free bread for us.  It didn’t really rise and it really doesn’t taste that great… maybe we’ll just have to have lettuce wraps from now on….. And then this picture ♥️ Lucy was so interested in learning how to look up verses in the Bible and Sten taught her lots of good tricks and lessons- she got in some practice before catching the bus this morning. Lucy is sweet, sensitive, caring, smart and inquisitive. So lucky she’s ours   It’s almost the weekend! xo. edc.

Thankful November. Day 3

Thankful for my fire circle friends who meet every Wednesday morning at 5:15 for prayer.  This is one of the greatest gifts in my life and I never take it for granted.  This morning we met outside of Midcurrents potential new building… we prayed for the building campaign, our families, our church and one another.  Best way to start my day.  xo.edc.

Thankful November Day 2

Our van has so many things wrong with it and today was especially bad. If you know me, you know that I don’t like noises while driving. This van has tested me in every way possible and today the noise was so loud I couldn’t hear Sigge right behind me…. I could sense myself starting to get upset, and then I thought— thankful November! I started thinking of all the reasons I’m thankful for our van:  1. It takes us where we want to go 2. The kids think it’s super cool 3. I can load so many people in it 4. It’s already been on lots of family road-trips 5. Butt warmers 6. Back up cam 7. DVD player 8. Leather seats 9. The doors work 10. Lots of storage.  I realized how much of a gift it is to have a car and I think the noise will remind me this month to be thankful and content with what I have.  xo. edc.

Thankful November

My favorite month!  Can’t wait to focus on all the things I’m thankful for.  Today I’m thankful for warm socks, hot tea and a full heart after a weekend with family.  xo. edc.
