100 day streak/Day 10

Yesterday marked 100 days of opening my Bible app everyday. This feels big! I’ve always wanted to be a daily Bible person. And I think I officially am now. So I am thankful for the Bible app which makes it easy to get a truth nugget daily. Also— as a person who loves a good “don’t break the chain” challenge- this feature of seeing progress is huge for me :) Also grateful for: Spinning class Another day swimming in the pool  An outfit to wear tonight Meeting my sister at Starbucks Burrito bowls Lego masters Card games. xo. edc.

Day 9.

A couple things I felt grateful for today: playing cards during breakfast with Sigge, who made me laugh so hard when mid-turn he said: “pause the game, I have to take a bite of my midnight snack!” Where does he come up with this stuff? Got to hold Molly yesterday and this is the only picture I got. It appears as though she is unhappy with me, but that’s not true, she slept in my arms for over an hour. And I was so happy! Last: I met Haley at Willow and pulled into the parking lot realizing I was wearing SANDALS! Whyyyyy??? Thankfully she had a pair of shoes in her trunk and we ran out little hearts out. Thankful for friends who’ve got your back when you don’t have your life together! xo.edc.

Day 8.

I think I could say I am thankful for running everyday. So if I already used this one, it’s not my fault.  I didn’t set out to run at a faster pace this morning, but I kicked it up on mile 5 and ran a 6:19. That felt good. I felt good. I felt like an elite runner putting in road miles. I think about this sometimes. What it would feel like to run my easy pace at 6:19… maybe when I’m in heaven I’ll run 5 minute miles? I think God would love to watch me run 5 minute miles because it would make me SO happy.  I can’t believe it’s November 8th. xo.edc

Day 7.

Had lots of feelings yesterday especially after reading an article about preteens. I have one (!!) When did that happen? I loved my early years as a mom, everything about it. People stopping me in grocery stores to see how cute she was, feeding my baby, teaching her to love books, watching her imagination grow, making crafts nonstop, wearing her in the baby bjorn, listening to her rambles…. I feel like I was made to be a little kid mom. And now, here I am out of the stage and feeling so inadequate. What will the next 10 years look like? I want them to be the best. I want them to be full of super happy memories and moments and learning how to solve problems in a healthy way. I want to be the one who doesn’t get offended when she slams a door in my face or chooses friends over me. I want to show up daily as her number one fan and makes sure she knows there is always a spot next to me on the couch to cuddle up.  I’m so thankful for Lucy. She has made me a better person. She’s fo...

Day 6.

Thankful today to start my day with some road miles with Haley. I like Mondays better when I get in a good run before 7:30am.  My day felt a bit go-go-go after that, so I’m extra thankful for the time I got to spend with a friend watching the sun come up ❤️. we ended our night playing cards and then reading Harry Potter. These things also make me extremely happy and thankful. I love reading to my kids. I hope they let me do it for a long time. Like- when do you stop wanting your mom to read to you?? I’ve never thought of that before and the thought makes me want to cry! Surely not anytime soon! I’d love it if my mom still read to me. She has the best reading voice of anyone I’ve ever known. She truly should be the one that reads the audiobooks.  Happy Monday xo.edc.

Day 5. Date night.

Today I’m thankful that I love the person I sit across from on date nights. Thanks for being the best, Sten ❤️ xo.edc.

Hewing. Day 4

One night away from my regular life with these beauties and I feel refreshed and rejuvenated and happy. Have you been to the Hewing hotel? I’m giving it a 10/10. We ate good food, we tried new places we slayed the dance floor. We slept in, we sauna’d, we rooftop hot tubbed, we brunched and then we got a late checkout and even ate lunch OUTSIDE! It was a fantastic 24 hours and I feel THANKFUL.  xo. edc
