San Diego

The gang went west and did ALL THE THINGS. It was amazing and I 10/10 recommend a trip to San Diego with your besties.  Mary got us a very nice hotel which provided comfort, an amazing pool and a perfect location. We saw so much and many different neighborhoods and I would go back in a heartbeat and also feel like I saw what San Diego has to offer and if I never made it back I would be ok :) Does that make sense? we found a super cool church to go to on Sunday morning and the vibe of the neighborhood was so fun. we walked in and out of shops had mimosas for brunch and took pictures of trendy things. We saw SEALS! they were so close to us! Malibu Farms was such a cool dinner spot. La Jolla forever. But for real. Thankful that Jenny packed her camera bc she's amazing and it was such a treat to have San Diego captured in such a beautiful way. The longest Uber ride home made better by salty air and windows down The most beautiful church. We all sat in silence and prayed and perhaps she...

Screenshots

Do you love a good screenshot? I take so many of these and then they live in a folder in my phone and I never revisit them.... But here I am revisiting a few that have brought me joy/made me chuckle/given me inspiration over the last bit.  I loved this wall art, and although I would probably never display it in my home (bc I don't know how to decorate) I love the message. When did we start thinking the worst? I am on a mission this year to "assume the best" and mostly about myself, bc I am very unkind to myself in my head.  This is ME! Do you know how often I see 11:11???? almost daily. Now my kids get off the bus and say: did you see 11:11 today, mom? And, for so long I thought God was trying to get my attention about something, but as it has continued to happen I have come to take it as a sign of His presence in my life-- a reminder that I am not alone. I thought this was great advice. I am determined to be better in this arena of life and thought this was a good start....

Georgia on My Mind

The 17 hour drive was worth it! Georgia is beautiful and this family trip might need to be made into a Shutterfly book :)  ice cream on repeat! The kids had no shortage of treats... but ordering an ice cream poolside, might be up there with their favorite thing. The grounds of Reynolds were gorgeous. Sten and I got a kick out of the fact that they use pine needles instead of mulch as landscaping.  Sten's idea was a one-on-one date with each kid. Olle and I went out for coffee and cards, Sigge and I went to draw and eat donuts at Dunkin and Lucy and I got our nails done. The boys were each excited for one on one fishing with dad and Sten and Lucy practiced her VBS lines at Starbucks. These kids are awesome. Olle played a lot of pickleball. He is talented. most beautiful girl. We went through SO much sunscreen.  I am going to be devastated when he doesn't snuggle in to me anymore. Sigge is hilarious and sweet and such a joy-bringer. He had some hilarious one liners this tri...
