Memorial Day @ Bay Lake

What a great weekend it was.  xo. edc.

COVID 19 day 65 (cabin season!)

I was in my happiest place yesterday as I spent the afternoon out at big C. The water felt like the ice had just melted, but that didn’t stop the kids from spending hours in there. To me, there is something wild and free about the cabin. This slice of life outside of life. In the dead of winter I dream of a beach chair on the sand at the lake and yesterday my dream came true. Day 3 of starting my morning outside on the porch. My favorite “room” in our house this time of year. I wish I could sleep out here! This morning is perfect.  Praying for peace over worry. Contentment over desire. And joy for today. xo. edc.

COVID 19 day ??

It’s been so long since I posted. I’m not sure what day we’re on at this point. I lost a lot of my gusto for life over the last week even running only a whopping 19.9 miles... oh well. Today I got in my 9th 20 miler of the year. Planted 6 pots of flowers and have genuinely enjoyed being with my kids all day. Pictures from my iPhone:  Lucy declared it MATCHING DAY! yesterday- and outfitted her and Olle in jean. 😍  I had a happy hour with 3 of my favorite ladies, looking out at this view.  Olle jumped off the dock in the freezing cold water. Sigges hair curls KILL me. I think I’ll grow out his hair bc I know as soon as he gets his first haircut he won’t look like a baby anymore! thankful today for flowers to plant, miles to run and kids to love. xo. edc.

COVID-19 Day 51

I started off my day with a 21.2 mile run. I had run 5 miles yesterday, and wanted to have a nice clean marathon spread over 2 days. So I set out for my 8th 20 miler of 2020 and promptly remembered I had only run 5 yesterday and changed my target for 21.2. Running is always quite a bit of math for me— I’m constantly adding in my head. I’m at 50.3 miles for the week! The time passed quickly as I listened to (and finished): Aaaaah! This book was unbelievably heartwarming. I loved it. 5/5. I’ve read so many good books this year, but this one was maybe my favorite so far. About 1/4 of the way through I stopped listening on 1.5x speed because I knew it would end too soon and I would be sad, so I listened at normal speed and enjoyed every minute! Missing my peeps today. Wishing things were a little different. xo. edc.

COVID-19 Update 48,49,50!

Sentence per picture of what’s been going on over here:  Still running a lot. Found this 30 cents on the side of the path and thought “I probably should leave that there since it could have coronavirus on it”. And then I decided it probably didn’t and went back for it.  Our wall is GONE! Whoop whoop! Still a lot of work to do, but this is some awesome progress!  Olles note to Miss. Sally. There was a flower on the front and a person- I tried to get his to say ‘I miss you’ but he looked at me like I was nuts. 😂  We had a car parade at olles school this week. He’s getting better at his letters!  Kids.  Sight word spelling practice in salt  New mask made by my sissy.  Baked cookies for the neighbors. Cutie boy Sigge.  “No Parints allowd” ... nooooooo problem. I’ll just sit on my chair far away. 😉 Coronavirus is the new norm for me right now. I am sad that we’re missing out on small things and seeing people, b...

Covid weekend day 45 + 46 + 47

Happy Weekend! The last 3 days we: Friday= movie night COVID style. From the back of the van with a projector on the garage with friends Lyla and Scout. The adults had a great time catching up in person. It felt really good to SEE people.   Saturday was super warm and very sunny. We spent the majority of the day outside.  Sunday was full of backyard time, church online and just an overall great day! Thankful for this weather that has allowed us to be outside wayyyyy more than inside.   Clocked 9/55 miles for the week  My last mile I ran a 6:46 bc I saw this swing on the side of the road with a free sign on it and I couldn’t wait to get home and hop in the car and snatch it up!! I’ve been wanting a swing exactly like this for Sigge but didn’t want to spend $30! He loves it! And I’m so happy about it.  Snack board for lunch.  Flowers from Hailley and Mike to celebrate 3 years ago officially making Midcurrent...
