kids.

This stage of life is so fun. I feel like I am surrounded by kids 24/7-- oh wait, I am! It so fun to have friends that trust me to take their kids to the park, to the turf, around town, to get donuts with my parents.... the list is never-ending. What a joy and an privilege to be in my kids' friends lives. I hope it's always this way. That we always have kids in our house, sitting at our table for dinner, eating brownies in the kitchen, running up and down the stairs, creating messes.  Croix and LT came over Tuesday and I was over-run by BOYS!!  He's SO cute!! and Sigge needs to learn how to love friends.... lots of hugs! I stole Noah and Lilly on Monday and we played at the park. The boys ran around for a solid hour, and Lilly and Lucy took care of Sigge.... I can't wait for more park days. Is she not the most beautiful girl? These kids are so special to me. xo. edc.

Spring

Magical spring. It is a time of year I love. I have grown to appreciate the longer days, lighter nights, budding greens and melting ice.  I have this great sense of adventure each spring. Like I should go climb a mountain or run my fastest race. It feels like a fresh start and a welcomed guest! We set out to Willow River last week and it was toooooo icy. So we went to Glover Park instead, where Sten secured his place as ‘best dad ever’ by making up obstacle courses at the playground while I went exploring through the woods. I convinced the fam of a short hike and it made my day knowing we were all 5 participating in one of my favorite things together.  The golden hour.  Lucy’s hand on Sten’s knee just kills me. I ❤️ these 2.  stay for a while spring. xo. edc.

Sten.

Why is it that Sten rarely makes it into my blog? He doesn't get nearly enough shout-outs, and his handsomeness should be displayed. Destined to change this, I am dedicating this post to him.  Things I love about Sten: He loves me more than anyone else. I am sure of this and do not doubt it for even a moment. I have often said that if everyone could feel this secure in someones love, the world would be a much brighter place.  He's the funniest person I know. Having fun with Sten is the best kind of fun.  He is always up for an adventure. Whether it is a picinic outside in the sun in 45 degrees, or packing up the fam for a day trip to Duluth, I feel lucky to have a partner who will do crazy things, and makes not-so-crazy-things way more fun. He really is the best dad. I have no doubt these kids will grow up feeling so confident, so loved and will tell their friends that their dad was their BIGGEST cheerleader. The reason I have so many pictures of him in this coat is bc it...

Quarantine photos.

It’s “nap with a long sleeve and warm socks” kind of weather. The best kind IMO.  Sigges curls are back with the little bit of humidity and warmth in the air and I can’t get enough. I tell him he’s cute no less than 70x a day.  I introduced the kids to “Samoa’s” and their only complaint is that they’re too small and wish they could have more than one at a time.  We had our first warm weather lunch outside this week.  3 swings, 3 kids.  We’re at the end of quarantine!!!!! We did it. We deserve a medal and a vacation! :)  xo. edc.

Covid Life.

We are over the hump (I think?!) and have found a little more of a groove at home.  These pics are out of order, but I love each one and the memories make me smile as these are my favorite people.  Of course we got some snow right as quarantine started! It was perfect for snowball fights and snowmen.  I’ve been able to read this book with my extra time. I love it and am excited to finish it.  Meltinggggggggg so. many. puddles. Lots of walks with boots on.  Made these banana muffins that turned out really well.  Steel cut oats, hemp seeds, unsweetened coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds and banana is my favorite breakfast right now Grateful for warm weather so we can play outside.  Extra time with this special one.  Trying new hair do’s.  She is just the greatest.  I have been loving the meme’s. This one is very true of Olle.  More outside adventures.  I’ve kept my run streak alive! 54 days and counting!  Thankful for frien...
