Highlights. - bay lake - beautiful runs - cleaning - IF table - amazing race watch party - great gmas 97th birthday 🎉  This solo run was exactly what I needed. I felt Gods presence, reset my mind and finished with some peace.  Olle and I went for a 2 mile run at bay lake later that day and we finished in 14:56. Just under 7 and a half minute miles. He is so fun to run with.  We took out the dock, brought back the boat, did some work around the cabin and then went to Oktoberfest! It was so fun Kids raked a giant leaf pile! Saturday miles with Kim in matching outfits  Amazon race. We were 2 episodes behind and snuggling on the couch felt so good.  This is so faint but before we got carpet in at Midcurrent, we wrote prayers on the floors. After some sewage issues this week a lot of the carpet was pulled up and some of the prayers were revealed 🥹 Celebrating GMA! She’s as spicy as ever at 97!  It’s now Wednesday. But I did start this post on Sunday night. Tim...

Numbers.

A super fun Friday night that looked very different than most Fridays. Sten and I went to Ashley and Conrad’s wedding. You might remember Ashley from  LONG   AGO ( 10 years ) on my blog. Can’t believe she is a wife now! We got to hang out with Remy and Lisa which was a joy.  Celebrated our favorite runner on Saturday morning with 11 miles in Stillwater that went by so fast. Then we ate 6 scones , drank all the coffee and wished we could all spend the day in Stillwater shopping and eating all the good food. Haley is the easiest person to celebrate.  We carved pumpkins Saturday night and 6 kids were holding very large knives and no one had to go to the ER, so it was a total win. I enjoyed time with Mary and Andrea 🧡🖤🧡🖤 Many laughs were had.  23 people were baptized Sunday! AND we celebrated 8 yrs of Midcurrent 🎉 ! Olle and I finished off Sunday with a 5 mile run. He is an energizer bunny. We kept a 9 minute pace and he told me he wants to run 10 consec...

What’s going right.

There’s a lot of things going wrong. But there’s a lot going right. Here’s a list of what’s going right.  1.  Decided on a whim to take the kids black light mini golfing. This is something I NEVER do. Mostly bc it costs money and I am firmly in the camp of “we don’t have to spend money to have fun”. But this was FUN! We had the best time. And I just loved spending that time with the kids.  2. Cousin time is always a win for me. Seriously. Big. Medium. Small. I love these 3 boys.  3. Church. Church is going right. I love watching sten up there on Sunday mornings. I love the loud lobby, I love the kids running around. I love seeing people connecting. I love Wednesday nights and watching youth play and be kids and then get serious about worshiping. I love driving past MC on a random day of the week and thinking about how it wasn’t even there not that long ago.  4. Sigges personality. Golly I like that kid. He’s larger than life 9 times out of 10. And so diffe...

All the running.

This post is a recap of all the running over the last few weeks. Starting with the most recent. TODAY! I completed the TC10 mile at my exact goal pace of 1:10. Twin Cities Marathon weekend is wonderful. The crowds, the course, the whole thing. I've never run a 10 mile race before and I found myself really enjoying the distance. It was short enough to be able to really push it, and also still feel like you actually did something :) I had a little fomo not doing the marathon, but this was a great way to spend a morning! I somehow didn't get a picture of my sis! Best cheer-er! I love seeing her and Mike out on the course!!!!! Also, so wild I ran into Emily from my 50 mile run! Literally lined up RIGHT next to her in the corral. What are the chances out of 9,119 racers? NEXT: BHP color run was fun! Lucy, Raine and Skye participated and were FULL of color. Another highlight included a trip to Cable Wisconsin. The Badland Babes took the podium at the Birkie Marathon Relay. It was qui...

here for it all.

Okayyyyyy look at these 3 walking into church together... they never show love to each other like this and this made me feel hopeful :) Sigge convinced me we needed a skeleton... I secretly really wanted this Halloween decoration too, so it didn't take much convincing lol SKOL VIKINGS Last weekend we had an impromptu -jump off the boat, Nelson’s Ice Cream, family get together. The water was a bit chilly but still nice and I love any chance I can say I got into the water in mid-September.  We’ve been taking dock pics like this for a few years now and boy does it mark time. They were so tiny. Watching kids grow is a highlight of life, its a joy to have a front row seat to special kids in your life and to see them through all the phases. like the real phases. grateful for these 5 and the special childhood they get to share together. Saturdays are spent at the football fields.... we don't necessarily have winning teams this year, but everyone is having fun. Trails with Sally last S...
