Nashville 2022 🎸 ♥️

Just returned from a trip to Nashville with my HS friends.  Angie, Ashley and I tagged along to Laura’s Genetic Counseling convention and my tip was a mix of exploration, reading/alone time and experiencing all Nashville has to offer!  Friends 4 Eva….  This is a replica of the Parthenon 🏛 in Greece and is the only replica in the US. It was gorgeous.  One of my favorite moments… a margarita at 11:45am listening to live music and catching up with friends.  💕 exploring The Gulch while Laura was at her conference.  I put on almost 15 miles each day.  Me + Laura— we’ve been friends since we were 6!! So special to spend this time with her.  This bar was SO fun.  These guys were incredibly talented… it is amazing to me how much talent there is in Nashville. I want everyone to make it big!!!!   This was another favorite moment for me…. An oat milk latte and a book. My alone time was so needed and very re-energizing at this stage of parenting/l...

Lucy’s 8.5.

I love celebrating 1/2 birthday’s. Why not bake 1/2 a cake and make someone feel loved halfway to the next milestone…  Lucy’s felt extra special yesterday bc we had friends come over after church and it was 60* out. The cake was gone in minutes and it fueled these crazy kids for all the scootering, running, jumping, hopscotching and doll playing that occurred all afternoon long.  Lucy is incredibly special with a ginormous heart and an even more ginormous imagination. She makes us proud daily and makes our family 100% better.  Happy 8 1/2 Lucy girl! xo. edc

Spring Break 2022

While most people were seeking warmth for Spring  Break, we went north…. 🧐 We had a fun 2 days in our little cabin and made it up to Duluth for some aquarium fun/ checked out Ursa Minor Brewery.  Our hike on our first night was my favorite. And of course- lots of bonfires.  Sigge slept on a bed for the first time in the cabin! Lots and lots of games.  Our cabin! And the outhouse in the back… no plumbing! 😜 Sten turned his phone off completely and I had mine on airplane mode… so we didn’t take as many pictures as usual, but it felt really good to be present. Wednesday was for shorts and outside all day!!  Lucy had a friend over and they played barbies for hours, so the boys and I hung outside and played scooters, chalk, catch and sat in the sun listening to Disney music.  On Thursday we went to the Childrens Museum with cousins and grandma :) And on Friday, we went on a date. The best part of Spring Break IMO. I love Pedro’s Del Este and I love Sten. The t...

Thirty-siX!

A new year!! I’m so happy!! I had an AWESOME day. Filled with an early morning run, the sweetest cards from my kids, brunch with my favs, nachos from San Pedro’s, a birthday beer with sten and Sigge at hop and barrel, and an early bedtime :) My favorite person in the world.  Nacho’s! The concentration!   3 of the best gifts in my life.  On Saturday we continued the birthday celebration at Tattersall and then Paddy Ryans for Lindsey’s 40th!  I got so spoiled by these friends 💕 On Sunday we went out to the Leverty’s new land. It was the perfect day. Full of sunshine, sledding, s’mores, snow forts and pizza :) Boys vs Girls snow fort! Rounded out birthday week with dinner at my parents with my family. Mango curry chicken with green beans and fruit for dessert.  My year of X since I’m thirty siX includes: DetoX: no treats for the year CompleX: go vegan for 70 days FleXibility: be able to do the splits by the time I’m 37.  MaXimize my mornings: make each m...
