WKND.

We packed a lot in this weekend… possibly too much???  I took the kids downtown for a pier walk and some ice cream (checking off our summer bucket list early!) We had the best time! Feeling all the love from these 3 and couldn’t be luckier.    Friday night we headed out in the woods, we cooked dinner over the campfire and did some outdoorsy things ♥️ On Saturday we had a pool day! And the hot item was the golf cart taxi! I’d like it to be noted that I was the last one in the pool. I would have stayed longer if I didn’t have to go home.  On Saturday morning we had donuts at Jerry’s with grandma and grandpa! More swimming happenings on Sunday after church.  Then THE hardest workout I’ve ever done in my life on Monday morning and I still can’t walk normal.  Then family bike ride.  Thennnnnnnnn porch sitting THE REST OF THE DAY ON MONDAY! The weekend finally caught up with us and we were tired.  Sten and I had our own beer tasting, we made frozen pizz...

Tiny runner.

I finished up my *painful* stroller run the other day and let Sigge get out and run to the house when we pulled into the hood.  His little bod! His pumping arms! His Air Jordan’s! His sheer determination! His long blondie hair! I want to bottle him up and keep these memories SO close when I have teenagers and they want to hang out with their friends over me.   xo. edc.

Getting back into the swing.

I’ve had a bit of trouble feeling like I want to do anything since being home from California. Serious issues with housekeeping and parenting happening this week! But we did have some fun and my kids continue to make me so happy.  After the major hail storm the other day the clouds went away and we decided to do a hike at Willow River. It was the perfect evening. A true sweatshirt and shorts kind of night.  Who is this super sweet beautiful girl I get to call mine!?!?! What is it about the sun and water? I have a million pictures in my phone that look like this. And this STUD of a kid. Olle. You make the world a brighter place.  On Friday night we had a picnic at the park. It was a little chilly but cozy blankets and snacks and the giant park equipment seemed to keep us all entertained for hours. Love that crew.  Not pictured was me dragging my feet on every. Single. Thing. I needed to do this week. It felt impossible to get back into real life after our trip. But I’...

Cali 2022.

Home from California and it already feels like a lifetime ago. Why does vacation go so fast? Sten and I had the greatest time and didn’t want to come home. Is that ok to say? It’s Wednesday and I still haven’t finished a load of laundry or unpacked our suitcases.  We started our time at a new winery called Passalaqua. We’d never been here before and I decided it’s fun to go back to familiar spots, but trying new places is so my thing.  The view/ambiance was 👌! I love Dry Creek and could be a happy old person living in a shack on this road when we retire. Assuming at some point we could afford a shack in California??? It was fun to surprise Bryce! Ryann did an awesome job planning and executing the surprise! It’s just SO beautiful.  We didn’t do a single dinner out. We came back to our cozy Airbnb and made salads, pizza and nachos each night.  We visited Armstrong Redwoods State Park and the trees were incredible. More tastings.  This one was recommended to us b...
