bdays+fathers day+

‘‘Twas a big weekend around here. 1st we got to celebrate the dad in our house who is the absolute best gift to us. Stens the one who answers the questions, says the right things, gives the best snuggles, sings the best, knows when one of us needs a pep talk, is our biggest champion, and always eats the leftovers off our plates. We love him so much and I know Lucy Olle and Sigge will grow up looking to Sten as their hero.  Here is how Sigge feels about Stens jokes: Olle is cheer’s-ing with “dads” root beer  It was a HOT one today. We planned a bike ride but decided water was the only real option!  Happy Father’s Day Sten! We LOVE YOU!   2nd, we got to celebrate Mary and Andreas birthdays at Tattersall on Friday night! It was the perfect summer night— and super fun to celebrate these special friends.  Look how adorable they are! Tattersall is dreamy ✨ Mary’s my main squeeze. And a great bags partner 🔥 Sten and I snuck in a date before the party and I decided sum...

Schools out = Bay Lake

Summer 2022!  We picked the kids up from school on Thursday afternoon with the van packed and headed straight up to Bay Lake.  The weather was perfect for lots of dock sits, and a couple boat rides over to Rutgers.  It was fun to kick off summer this way and Sten and I both thought this would be an awesome tradition to start.  The kids are growing up so fast and what used to feel a little stressful, now feels so fun and freeing. I’m thankful for this little slice of heaven on earth!  xo. edc.

we're summer ready!

It's been the sweetest and most chill end to the school year. Lots of bike rides, sunshine, and picnics. So ready for summer break! Sten and I got out for a date last weekend. We headed to the beach to have a bonfire, but then realized that the sun doesn't actually set until 9 pm, so we had a date on the beach instead and it was perfect! This is the best time of year bc there are no bugs yet! We brought one of our california bottles of wine and felt like we had transplanted ourselves back to Dry Creek Rd overlooking the vineyards with each sip! I subbed at Bethel last week and got to bring Sigge!!! He loved being in school and did great!  Sigge and Croix at the library reading books like old men. LAST DAY OF SCHOOL TODAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! Sigge boy and I have been biking to the park everyday because the weather has been AMAZING. We love meeting new friends or just playing the 2 of us. I'm going to miss my one on one time with him this summer, but so ex...

Last 5 days.

I’m just realizing that it’s my last 5 weekdays of having just Sigge home all day. We’ve gotten into a good routine and I think it will be an adjustment for both of us to have the big kids home from school all day.  I’m excited for summer break- I think the kids are too. I love the idea of no where to rush off to and filling our days with swimming/ biking/lounging/ sleeping in.  But I really will miss this special time with this special guy. Naps are few and far between so he’s become my companion for afternoon errands and quick stroller runs before the bus comes.  xo. edc.
