CO

Just got back from a quick trip to Colorado! We jammed it allllll in and I didn’t get enough pictures.    As I was tucking in Lucy tonight she asked what was my favorite part of the trip and I said this hike. Sten and I rented a car at the airport and drove straight to Estes Park. We got lunch quick and then enjoyed a hike with amazing views and bright sun. I loved every step, every break and every view.  Our reason for coming was for Sten to speak at Foundations Church. So we spent a lot of time in this building! I sat through all 3 services and was amazed at Stens ability to speak and the ways God has clearly gifted him.  When I wasn’t at church I was hanging out with Ryann and the girls! We hiked Devils Backbone and of course Ryann and I got a run in together. I love them so much.  Grateful for this short getaway! xo. edc.

Lucy BAPTIZED.

Lucy was baptized last weekend and it was one of the most special moments of my life. To witness (and be apart of) the decision she made brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it.  She is a very special girl and I can’t wait to see what God does in her life through her sweet little heart and the spark she carries everywhere she goes.   We decided a hair cut was in order and then did a whole spa day at home. I cut her hair, styled it, did make up and painted nails! A fresh new look! She’s the prettiest! Love this nugget so much. SO proud of who she is.   xo. edc.

AZ girls trip

Seeking sun, I traveled west last week to Arizona and I found it!!... and warmth, and a really fun time with friends! There were 9 of us total and Heidi, the ultimate host, opened her home to us and totally spoiled us all!  We hiked, we spa'd, we laughed, we danced, we ate really yummy food and we took a gazillion pictures. I feel so rejuvenated and ready to face Wisconsin winter (it snowed back home while we were gone). Thankful for amazing friendships and a place to soak up the sun. xo. edc.

not so recent happenings.

Random pictures in my phone that mean something to me cannot escape the blog!  Happenings:  Sigge and I went to packet pickup in Saint Paul the Friday before the race and it was a BEAUTIFUL day. We walked slowly, I never once said: “come on” or “let’s go” I let him completely choose the pace— and it was SLOW. Such a reminder to add margin into my life so that I can enjoy all the things with my favorite little guy.  I was psyching myself up pretty hard for my marathon and wore ALLLL the old gear, including this shirt from my first marathon in 2006– Chicago! I wish we still got cotton shirts for marathons bc I think I’d wear them a lot more often. Also wish I wouldn’t have painted in this shirt… what was I thinking???? This week Sigge wants to be a race car driver for Halloween and the way he says it makes me want to DIE. There are a lot of “R’s” in there and the struggle is real.  Started our Tuesday morning Womens study and it is AWESOME! Sigge visiting dads office…....
